Because I think that the figure of the monster is a superb parameter to explore specific manifestations of any given society under the threat of violence, and is also a powerful metaphor in constant flux, my thesis takes advantage of the monsters versatility to raise questions such as: how the bodies are modeled politically? What is our notion of contamination, abjection, degeneration? And what do we fear when faced with a monstrous feature?
