Certified Mentor S Supervisory Role: Implications For Their Identity As A Professional Counselors

This research study used the in-depth interview qualitative research method. Six certified mentors were interviewed. Three of them with experience supervising professional provisional licensed counselors, which are identified as MCE1, MCE2 and MCE3. The other three interviewed mentors do not have experience supervising professional provisional licensed counselors. These three were identified as MC 1, MC2 and MC3. Interviews with them, provided data that describes their motivations, beliefs, postures as well as an insight in their experience as it relates to the supervision of the professional provisional licensed counselor.
