This report is the final part of a three-volume set, giving a detailed analysis of the results of the World Population Prospects 2002, the 18th and most current revision of the official UN population estimates and projections. The 2002 revision breaks new ground in terms of the assumptions made on future human fertility and the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Also included are numerous tables accompanied by analysis, highlighting demographic and age-sex distribution trends.
