Autores

Resumen del Libro

The stress that the teachers suffer can interfere with the important work that they realize. There it is a need to implement programs that facilitate the professional development and that take care of this labor phenomenon. This training was designed so that the professional counselor can make an intervention that reaches at all the teachers as a consultant. It is based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy of Albert Ellis. It consists of three sessions of three hours of group meeting. The teachers will be able: to recognize the symptoms, to identify the causes, to know the adverse effects that distress has on its health, and to learn strategies to manage stress. It includes coping techniques like: relaxation, assertiveness and time management. A video is used to illustrate the refutation of irrational beliefs. For the elaboration of the sessions, it was used the Model of Joyce and Showers, adapted by the doctor Isabel Ramos Rodriguez (2002).
