After the death of Franco in 1975 there was in Spain an explosion in literature written by women. One of the several women writers who stand out in this period of cultural change is Rosa Montero. In this dissertation I analyze three novels written by her in the transition years between 1979 and 1983: Cronica del desamor (1979), La funcion delta (1981), and Te tratare como a una reina (1983).
