Resumen del Libro

Pelo Bueno, Pelo Malo inscribes the author in the genealogical tree of great Caribbean writers, such as Olive Senior, Jamaica Kincaid and Mayra Santos-Febres. The speakers in this novel, expressed through fragmented monologues, come to be archetypical voices that come together in the principal character as if they are all one. The changes in the perspective narrative metamorphisize into the ambiguity that is inherent to the Caribbean hybridity. But beyond the tensions that the title can connote, this novel is the story of a woman, regardless of her insecurities and fears, takes control of the reins of her life.
