Major retrospective exhibition presents various essays by leading experts on the life and work of painter and engraver OHiggins (b. United States 1904- d. Mexico 1983) celebrating the centenary of his birth. His mural La lucha obrera made for the Talleres Graficos de la Nacion (TGN) until it was moved in 1969, becomes the title of the exhibition divided in two venues that reunites more than 250 pieces, including photographs and documents presenting a complete analysis of the master muralist life and artworks. OHiggins, a social activist who portrayed his social and political ideology in his painting subjects, was an important figure of the muralist movement in Mexico, a founding member of the TGN and LEAR and friend of many art personages Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Leopoldo Mendez, Juan de la Cabada, Tair Salajov, Rodrigo Moya, Adolfo Mexiac, and others.
