Oulembe is a boy who lives on the African grasslands. His father is the water diviner for his people. In the place where they live, water is very scarce and the job of looking for it is fundamental for the survival of the village. Oulembe takes over his fathers job when he gets older. He learns when, where, and how to find water and also discovers that water is not so precious in other places as it is in his land.
