A foreigner has disappeared in the city, where tourists are a protected species. She had been with her friends at Club Paradise enjoying a world designed for the disinherited. The suspicions regarding her disappearance fall on her friend, Yuri, a young local painter. Lieutenant Caesar Sánchez was compelled to conduct the investigation at the urging of his coronel in chief and by the necessity to save his career at any price. A disappearance can be prolonged forever. A murder is immediate but needs a confession. He would be satisfied with any of the thousands in this world of shadows.
