Resumen del Libro

A careful deciphering of one of a series of 16th-century pictographic manuscripts from Cuauhtinchan, Puebla, with an analysis of the historiographical tradition of the document (covering events from the 12th-16th centuries) and its place in the broader category of Mesoamerican writing systems. Where possible, translates pictographical material into Nahuatl expressions with assistance from the related Historia tolteca chichimeca –Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
