The early 20th century cultural relationship between Spain and Argentina through the professional trajectory and romantic architecture of García Núñez (b. Spain). His development is analyzed from his first works in Spain and in Argentina (for the Spanish immigrant community), a reflection of his modernists formation in Barcelona to his later designs using the prevailing styles of the period: Art Nouveau, Regionalism, historic tendencies and Eclecticism for the construction of the opulent houses for the wealthy Indianos (late 19th century and early 20th century Spanish migrs who prospered in the Americas and returned to settle in Spain), as well as the churches, hospitals, schools and other public institutions they commissioned.
