This book 23 chapters shows the political, social and ecological context of restoration experiences carried out in nine ecosystems located in 13 Mexican states, with a variety of scales, times, and levels of intervention, and a focus social, experimental and/or practical. The work is aimed at researchers, students and professionals Mexicans whose scope includes ecosystem restoration. Additionally, it is a tool for decision makers and public policy makers. Our main goal is to lay the foundations for the establishment of an environmental governance in terms of ecosystem restoration in Mexico, where all sectors of society can participate. We hope the restoration in Mexico it becomes a practice of hope and, above all,strengthen the ecological basis of human survival.
