Conference paper presented at ICOMOS Dominicano Assembly in 1999 regarding the management of the urban patrimony of downtown historic Santo Domingo. The document was the resulting study held by the advisers of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the defense of the current historic architecture in coordination with a growing population and thru a sustainable patrimonial tourism.
