Resumen del Libro
One of a series of investigation-action studies drawing on existing work and community-based interviews with women. Parallel, but not identically-structured, volumes have appeared for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The excellent Guatemala volume sets out the rural context for womens lives and focuses on womens access to land (crucial to the study of rural class relations). Also discusses women in rural politics and agrarian movements, and recommends policy changes –Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 57.
