Individual life is closely related to the development of intellectual processes. This book, addressed to anyone interested in the function of thinking and its practical applications, describes the lack of experience of thinking in many behavioural aspects of children and adolescents. The authors do not assume thinking should be taught, but they prove it is possible, as well as necessary, to give opportunities to think and examine our own thinking. All the thinking operations described in the book (compare, resume, observe, classify, interpret, give hypothesis, reach a decision) can be used to make a habit of a reflexive inquiry, which will enrich the experience of young people. If the reader integrates these operations in his/her teaching method, no doubt he/she will find how they stimulate thinking and influence in specific behaviours.
