Cinematographic critical texts that offer from different perspectives how the diverse minorities in Mexico have (and still are) portrayed in films, either to represent historic events in accordance with the state vision of the 1940s and 1950s, or in recent films, defined as the New Mexican Cinema that uses minorities to highlight daily social tensions. The author analyses the film El Jardín del Eden a film about the cultural hybridization happening in the border of Tijuana and uses it as the main narrative string to tie together his book.
