Este libro es el resultado de una conferencia que tiene como objetivo, el identificar las dificultades que confrontan los gobiernos de Estados Unidos y Europa occidental en impedir o regular los movimientos de trabajadores y refugiados del Tercer Mundo as como las dificultades de medir el tamao de la inmigracin indocumentada o impedir su continuacin, por lo que este texto es una herramienta til para cualquier interesado en el tema de la migracin. Esta conferencia es patrocinada conjuntamente por el Centro de Migraciones y Desarrollo de la Universidad de Princeton (CMD), el programa sobre Migraciones Internacionales del Consejo de Ciencias Sociales de Estados Unidos (SSRC), y la revista especializada internacional Migration Review. / This book is the result of a conference which holds as its main objective, the identification of the difficulties that the governments of the Unites States and Western Europe continuously face when impeding or regulating the movements of workers and refuges of the Third World as well as the difficulties of measuring the actual size of the undocumented migration or to impede its continuation. This conference is sponsored by the Migrations Center and Development of the University of Princeton (CMD), the program regarding International Migrations of the United States Social Sciences Council (SSRC), and the international specialized magazine Migration Review.
