Resumen del Libro
This thesis analyses how the discourse of Dominican exile elaborated its struggle against Trujillo from the realms of memory and oblivion, to be found in the evocative and political power of autobiographical narration. Depending on the particular political situation, it is important to visualize the discursive strategies employed to remember or forget a particular event. Thus, in each of the narrations studied here, the analysis will focus on how the struggles for power between the different political agrupations outside the Dominican Republic are represented and justified.
