In these articles, Guerra narrates the campaigns and actions of the Mexican Constitutional army against the Federalist troops commanded by Victoriano Huerta throughout the state of Tamaulipas. Along with his narration, Guerra emphasizes the actions and achievements of Luis Caballero, Lucio Blanco, and Cesar Lopez de Lara, who were generals in these campaigns and later became controversial political figures within the state of Tamaulipas.
