I got the idea of writing this and all the other Alexs Bilingual Childrens Book Series because I could not find that many bilingual childrens books in the area where we live. Many times I found myself reading a book in English to my son and then translating it into Spanish so he would practice both languages. Other times, I found myself reading a book in Spanish and translating it into English so my son would understand. I also found that it was hard to find a bilingual book with a good message at the end of the story. This book not only allows kids to learn Spanish and/or English, but hopefully will inspire parents to teach their kids about how much fun learning about art can be. It also sends a message to the readers about the special bond between a Mom and her son. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did when I read it to my son when he was just a little boy. Please point to each word in this book as you read to your child so he/she can start recognizing the sounds that each word makes in each language. This book is perfect for children ages 3-7.
