Author Montoya (b. Santander, Colombia 1963) presents an aesthetic account of the history of painting with literary texts that express his feelings on selected examples of international painting, from the Pre-Historic rock art of Lascaux, the murals of ancient Egypt, the Flemish masters, the 20th century surrealists and impressionists to the contemporary painters of Colombia.
