La Realidad De La Responsabilidad Social Empresarial Y Su Valor Financiero En Puerto Rico

Autores

Resumen del Libro

Current economic, political, and social conditions require that business be constantly on the lookout for value creating strategies. Business Social Responsibility (BSR) has emerged as one of these strategies. This work will investigate BSR to determine if local businesses consider it a viable financial strategy. It will employ descriptive statistical methods to evaluate prevalent BSR practices. It will then identify factors that motivate businesses to adopt these practices. Finally, it will analyze the impact of BSR practices on financial factors as they are reported by the businesses participating in this study. Findings will demonstrate that BSR in Puerto Rico has not kept pace with international developments because, in part, Puerto Rican practitioners do not consider it to be a strategy of financial value. This study will conclude by identifying deficiencies whose resolution would contribute to the development and evolution of BSR.
