An anthology of essays on the art of Brian Nissen (b. London 1939, lives and works in Mexico) from catalogues of some of his exhibitions over the years. The book includes 16 texts written by Nissen (some previously published) covering topics such as: forged masterpieces and the films inspired in artists and texts on Nissens artwork by: Carlos Fuentes and Laura Esquivel who reflect on Nissens erotic art, Dore Ashton about the artists visual interpretation of a poem by Octavio Paz, Arthur C. Danto analyzes the influence of the Pre-Hispanic art on Nissens work, Eliot Weinberger studies his trajectory as sculptor, Alberto Ruy Sánchez text refers to the monumental mural El Mar Rojo , complemented with texts by Arthur C. Danto and Guillermo Sheridan.
