Estela, a young Mexican-American girl who has been saving up her money all year to pay for folklore dance lessons, is still short ten dollars, but when she accompanies her father to a fleamarket hoping to sell a treasured music box to make up the difference, she learns not only basic art of haggling and the value of money, but the meaning of self-sacrifice and the reward gained from kindness to others.
