Rufino Blanco Fombona℗ was an author, journalist, and essayist. As an editor he founded a Latin American publishing project which he called the American Library. He was regarded as a hero of American letters, a combative author, fierce debater, and a strong minded political thinker. He was persecuted and exiled by the government of Juan Vicente G©đmez. As a faithful follower of the conception of art and literature that had forged Rub©♭n Dar©Ưo, many considered the originality and strength of his writing based on the quality of his poetry.
